1. Who we are

Studio Base is a technology and creative studio based in Austin, TX. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it and the choices you have. When we say “we”, “us” or “our”, we mean Studio Base.

2. Information we collect

We collect the information you choose to send us through the contact form:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your company (optional)
• The service you’re interested in and the type of project
• Your message

If you email us directly, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. If you accept analytics cookies, we also receive usage statistics through Google Analytics (see section 4). We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.

3. How the contact form is delivered

This website is static and has no database of its own. When you submit the contact form, your details are sent through FormSubmit, a third-party form service, which forwards them to our email inbox. FormSubmit processes the submission in order to deliver it and handles it under its own privacy policy.

4. Cookies and browser storage

We store only one thing in your browser: your language preference (English or Spanish), saved in localStorage under the key “sb-lang” so the site remembers your choice. It never leaves your device, and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

We also save your cookie choice (accepted or declined) in localStorage under the key “sb-cookie-consent”, so we don’t ask you again on every visit.

Google Analytics: if you click “Accept” in our cookie notice, we use Google Analytics 4, a service from Google LLC, to understand how visitors use the website (for example, which pages are viewed, how long visits last, the type of device and browser, and the approximate country or city). Google Analytics sets cookies named “_ga” and “_ga_…”, which by default last up to 2 years. Google Analytics 4 does not store full IP addresses. We use this information only in aggregate to improve the website, and we do not use it for advertising.

If you click “Decline”, Google Analytics is not loaded and no analytics cookies are set. You can change your mind at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page; if you withdraw consent, we stop Google Analytics and delete its cookies. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy). We do not use advertising cookies.

5. Hosting

This website is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like most web hosts, GitHub may automatically log technical information about visits, such as IP addresses, for security and to keep the service running. We do not control or have access to those logs; they are handled under GitHub’s privacy statement.

6. How we use your information

We use the information you send us only to:

• Reply to your message and answer your questions
• Prepare proposals and provide the services you request
• Keep a record of our conversation with you

We will not add you to a mailing list or send you marketing emails unless you ask us to.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your messages for as long as needed to respond to you and, if we work together, for the duration of the project and any period required for our business records or by law. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

8. When we share information

We only share your information:

• With service providers that help us run this website and communicate with you (such as FormSubmit, our email provider, GitHub Pages and, if you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics), only as needed for that purpose
• When required by law, or to protect our rights, our users or the public

9. Your rights

You can ask us at any time to access, correct or delete the personal information you have sent us. Just contact us and we will respond as soon as we can.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy laws — for example, residents of certain US states such as Texas and California, and people in the European Union or Mexico. We will honor those rights as they apply to you.

10. Children’s privacy

This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Links to other websites

Our website may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, so we encourage you to read their privacy policies.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we add new tools to the website. When we do, we will change the “last updated” date at the top of this page.
